ABOUT THE PHOTOGRAPHER
Hi, I'm Amy
I remember back in college as a Fine Arts major, I had to complete a visual art assignment with meaning; something that impacted the world around me, something with substance. I constructed an entire costume by hand with the exact proportional measurements of a Barbie doll - but to my body - (so that means my waist remained it’s size, but my bust, hips and booty were built out proportionately to the measurements portrayed on the average Barbie doll). In other words I looked unreal! I covered my costume in images of society’s body standards with descriptive words plastering the rest. I wanted to bring light to something we as women have struggled with as long as I can remember: Are we ever good enough? If our body doesn’t look a certain way, are we still beautiful? Sexy? Desirable? Worthy? Confident?
That’s not to say Barbie isn’t (because she TOO is beautiful), but my point was to shed light on that very thing: we are ALL beautiful. Every BODY is beautiful … and thus began my path in trying to create a difference in the world around me. Boudoir has done just that.
The fulfillment I feel as a boudoir photographer is indescribable. The word obsessed may come to mind, but also immense gratitude, purpose and passion. I adore the connections I get to make with each and every one of my clients (hello new friendships!), but most of all I fall in love with seeing YOU fall in love with yourself all over again … or maybe for the first time. This is some priceless stuff!

As a young woman I knew I wanted to be an artist. I knew I wanted to add purpose to the world. I knew I wanted to make a difference; I just didn’t know the path I’d take to get there… until VboBoudoir was born.
I have been blessed with the most incredible community, clients and following. I live in one of the most beautiful places in the world, the Columbia River Gorge, where my husband and I were both generationally born and raised. I work both on location in my private downtown studio, but also in the spectacular nature that surrounds us. We truly are in a little slice of Heaven and I couldn’t love it more; (unless you’re in Maui… but that’s another story. I do not charge for travel, I’m just sayin’) :)
Thank you for being here and learning more about my purpose and drive as a photographer. It’s more than the images we’ll create. My utmost goal is to shift YOU into the best version of you that you’ve ever been.
